The dream I had recently is still on my mind (see my previous BLOG post), and I asked the Lord why there was a “rustic faucet” in that amazing beautiful and breathtaking place. The word “rustic” was deep in my heart — I sensed that I needed to ponder on this. While pondering, a sweet Christian friend of mine in the U.S. sent me an e-mail sharing with me her divine encounter with the Lord in a dream. I had goosebumps reading her message; she had an amazing time with Him! But when I saw the word “rustic” in her message, I was more amazed — my eyes grew bigger! Don’t get me wrong, I DON’T believe in coincidence; I believe there is something the Lord wants me to know and “to dig deeper.”
Sitting with the Lord, I learned that “rust” symbolizes “temporal things and earthly riches” (Matthew 6:19). It also signifies losses, disappointment, trouble, misery or a mess. Everything is DARK when “rust” fills your sphere. But trust the Lord, let His peace surround you and His love cover you — He will show you His glorious LIGHT and power! I believe that many of you are facing disappointments, suffer inevitable losses, in the midst of a mess, in trouble, or in misery. The Lord is sending you a message: “All you who fear the LORD, trust Me!”
Your eyes may have grown dim through pain, brokenness, crisis and sorrow. But call upon the Lord out of a PURE heart and trust Him — He will spread out His hands to you. To trust is to strongly believe in the powerful promises of God in every circumstance, be it adverse or what seems to be the contrary. Hear Him saying again, “All you who fear the LORD, trust Me!”
Trust the Lord, take delight in Him, find rest in Him, and joyfully “you will drink deeply from the fountain of deliverance.” Soon, your mountains of problems will become plains, and your lightless days will turn into luminous ones!
Sitting with Him more, I also learned that “rust” implies you are not utilizing your God-given gifts, talents and skills to serve and bless others, to further His kingdom and for the glory of the One who created you. The Lord is encouraging you to step out in faith, use that special skill you’ve been given, excel in it, excel in the gift of giving and willingly do what God has called you to do.
You are gifted; you have a special skill or skills that many people do not possess, and your ability is exceptional. The Lord knows not only where you are but by your name, and He is calling you to use your talent and potential. “Trust; I can clear the rust!” — that’s His message to you, to His people, to those who have been “called and chosen.” The Lord will bring out the BEST in you and give you His best, so take His hand, walk hand in hand with Him and trust Him — “by His power He can do exceeding abundantly above all that you can ask, think or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20).
You do not want to miss your divine opportunity; you do not want to miss this special season. “Trust; I can clear the rust!” — it is time to rise up in faith, to leave the barrenness, to cross over, to TRANSITION!
