September 16, 2017 — the Lord woke me up saying, “Woman, arise; read Psalm 18:32 and 33.” I was half-awake but I heard His voice that sounded like thunder; I knew He has a word and wanted to talk to me. Sometimes God knows that the best time to talk heart-to-heart with Him is at 3:30 in the morning. In these early hours, “Jehovah-Yahweh,” which is translated as “I am who I am,” is up to something.
Great, now I couldn’t get back to sleep and I found myself meditating on the Scripture. Psalm 18:32 in the NIV says, “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.” I read the next verse in the NASB and it says, “He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places.” He makes my feet like hinds’ feet — this has put a smile on my face.
Then I heard the sound of cascading waters saying “I am who I am, and I am giving you sure footing on high places!” I heard Him speak and I burst into tears — “is not His word like a mighty hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” (Jeremiah 23:29)
Right now, many in the body of Christ are on the front lines of fierce beating and fiery battle. I see many of you are weeping, weary, worn-out and wondering if the time is going to come that you will ever “declare what He has done for your soul” (Psalm 66:16). Some have doubted His promises. Others are in the state of almost giving up, feel spiritually drained and are struggling for peace.
BE GIRDED WITH HIS STRENGTH FOR BATTLE
Stand firm, warriors, and put on the full armor of God; it is essential to you to be girded with His strength for battle. “He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Take heart, for this is your crucial season. The battle may be raging but you have to go through it — know that God is taking you to a higher dimension!
I see the Lord removing every visible and invisible impediment that is standing in your way. He is removing every obstacle, making your “path like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18).
HE WILL MAKE YOUR FEET LIKE HINDS’ FEET
A hind is a female deer, the MOST SURE-FOOTED, FOCUSED and AGILE mountain creature. They are the only animals that climb impossible mountains — they can place their back feet exactly where their front feet stepped just moments before. They are able to run securely, scale unusually difficult terrain and swift to pursue or elude their enemies. And so the Lord has spoken, “I am who I am, and I am giving you sure footing on high places!”
In the Bible, David and Habakkuk said that God would cause them to be as sure-footed as a “deer” (Habakkuk 3:19, 1 Chronicles 12:8). The Lord set them upon high places — places where God had given them security and rendered them safe from danger.
You have been called, chosen and commissioned. You have been summoned. You have been anointed to arise and advance and empowered and equipped to pursue and recover everything the devil has forcefully stolen from you. “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake and shall surely rescue” (1 Samuel 30).
Pursue, and God will give you sure footing on high places. I see God increasing your wisdom to improve your victories. Pursue, I see you with swiftness and agility to elude your predators. You are taking back what is rightfully yours. You are breaking paradigms, breaking new grounds and being brought to a higher dimension. Pursue, I see God stretching you beyond your capacity, spreading your wings and transitioning you to a new horizon!
